We went to the city on Dominic's birthday and played tourist. We had nice weather, good clam chowder bread bowls and a great time.

Big Birthday Boy

Well, Dominic is officially 1. We never knew it was possible for a year to fly by so fast. He was just born! We had a fun party with all of our family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came and made it such a great first birthday. Our house has now been completely taken over by toys :) Oh, what to do with them all...needless to say, Dominic's been in heaven. We got a bunch of new books which I am thrilled about. It's been nice having new reading material, the old ones could all be recited by heart.

Finally got some presents wrapped. Got the wrapping paper off of the floor in time but not the ribbon.

Practice Makes Perfect

Dominic's spent A LOT of time lately trying to figure out how to get on and off his bike by himself. This morning he got it!

And his other latest trick....walking and reading :)

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

We've got our tree up and decorated and Dominic is loving playing with all of the plastic ornaments on the bottom. He brings them all over the house and constantly has one in hand. This is probably the best picture so far of his two little bottom teeth (if you look closely). We think one of the top of the top ones may be on its way in.

He's spending more and more time lately looking at his books. If he's quiet for too long in his room we start wondering what he may have gotten into only to find him sitting quietly on the flooring wooing away and whispering like he's actually reading all of the words. I love watching him play and especially 'read'. He's walking more and more everyday and crawling less and less. He's getting quite the little sense of humor and loves to dance whenever there is any music at all.
