Fall

Dominic and Molly are pretty much inseperable these days. Molly's been staying in the kitchen now that it's getting colder and the laughter that is constantly coming from that room is fun to listen to. Tired Dominic was running around the kitchen with a toy in his hand and fell down. I guess it didn't occur to him to drop the toy and protect his face. It was right before bed, it looked red, but not bad. When he woke up in the morning we realized he had a full on shiner :( He's been walking around the house with Brian's baseball hat a lot lately, he looks like such a rough and tumble kid with that on and his black eye. Boys and their sticks. Dominic is loving our fall walks with lots of crunchy leaves to stomp on and lots of sticks to collect.

The Giants Win The Series :)

This was Dominic the entire San Francisco Giants World Series Parade, arms up yelling "yay" at the top of his lungs from Brian's shoulders. Until he passed out cold from exhaustion :)This was also Dominic's very first BART ride. As you can see, it was very exciting!

September

This month has definitely gotten away from me. It's flown by and I don't know where it went. We got a couple of goldfish this week. It has been very exciting. Dominic ran from picking the goldfish out to the checkout counter yelling "yay"! Hugged the bag the whole way home and hasn't stopped looking at them. The highlight has been feeding them. Dominic had his very first slumber party two weeks ago. Gavin got to spend the night and boy did these guys have fun!
Nikki came up with the kids and we got to hang out a lot. I had the cutest picture of Dominic and his newest cousin DJ but I think I might have erased it somehow :(
Grandpa was helping keep Dominic entertained while I was waxing my car at his house. This included playing prisoner :) only my Dad.....

dominic's starting to put word combinations together. It's adorabke and hilarious. "daddy's home", "i'm happy", and instead of "oh man" he's been saying "oh me" anytime he drops something or trips, etc...

Big Bed

We converted Dominic's crib to a bed yesterday. I wasn't sure what to expect. He didn't get out once, intentionally that is. There was one little thud in the middle of the night, followed by some crying. I went in to find him on the floor :( After calming down he went right back down and didn't get up at all. He called for us in the morning like he usually does when he wakes up. We came in to find him sitting there waiting for us to get him.

20 months

Dominic is 20 months old today. Can't believe 2 is right around the corner!
He is such a character. He's been flashing the cheesiest little grin a lot lately and it's hilarious. He's talking more and more everyday. He now answers yes or no to questions, the yes is more just "sssssss". He's still obsessed with any kind of ball or anything with wheels. He has 10 teeth and two more showing through the gums. He's VERY active, still loves to read endlessly and is still stuck in this shy phase that I hope doesn't last for much longer.
Out with the old and in with the new. We may have overshot the size of this just a little. It's nerve-racking watching him play on it. He goes up and down dozens and dozens of times a day. And is just starting to like hanging out in it.
He loves being a big cousin and now has two younger than him. Poor Lucas gets smothered with hugs and kisses whenever Dominic's around. Nikki had Darius James this last week and we can't wait to meet him.

Gone Fishin

Dominic's first fish, kind of....Tim actually caught it and Dominic and I reeled it in. Dominic wasn't quite sure what to think of it all.

I know I just posted a picture almost identical to this one. It's just been so funny this last week or two how obsessed Dominic has been with trains. Every time I've walked into his room he's had a longer and longer one going. I think this will be the longest he'll be able to make considering it's every single toy he owns with wheels. Before, when he was playing there would be an assortment of toys out. Now he's getting much more methodical. It'll be all animals out at once and nothing else, or all instruments, etc... I love watching him learn and seeing him figure things out.
