I know I just posted a picture almost identical to this one. It's just been so funny this last week or two how obsessed Dominic has been with trains. Every time I've walked into his room he's had a longer and longer one going. I think this will be the longest he'll be able to make considering it's every single toy he owns with wheels. Before, when he was playing there would be an assortment of toys out. Now he's getting much more methodical. It'll be all animals out at once and nothing else, or all instruments, etc... I love watching him learn and seeing him figure things out. Wednesday, July 28, 2010

The Fair
Dominic had the BEST time ever on the pony ride. He was wooing and awing the entire time. I'm feeling more and more like we have a little kid now rather than a baby.
He was pretty funny on the boat too. Yelling, and I mean yelling 'boat' the whole ride. I think Brian and I were both in tears from laughing so hard by the end of the ride. We definitely got our moneys worth in entertainment getting to watch Dominic enjoy everything so much!

Trains
I can't think of anywhere that Dominic's seen play trains other than at his cousins house months ago. We have a real train constantly passing by the shop and are along side the bart trains on the other side of the building, so I guess he's just put two and two together. He's been stacking and pushing his cars like this all over the house. Sunday, July 4, 2010

Lake Chabot Hike
The back entrance to Lake Chabot is right behind our neighborhood. We strapped on the pack and had a nice walk to the lake. Molly swam, Brian fished and Dominic and I ate, threw rocks in the water and hung out in the shade. It's been great weather and it wasn't too long of a walk at all. We'll definitely have to do it again soon if anyone wants to join us :) Thursday, June 24, 2010

Worst blogger ever :)
How has it been more than a month since my last post??? A broken computer will do that I guess. Finally back up and running, thank you Ryan! I''m putting these all in as seperate posts so that when I look back I'll be able to tell when everything happened in chronological order.
We went down to Southern Cal this last weekend for Jessica's graduation from Biola. It's amazing how someone else's milestone can make you feel so much older :) It was well worth the drive getting to be part of this big day of hers. We ended up staying through the weekend and got in some much needed beach time. Dominic loves the ocean. No fear at all whatsoever when it came to the waves, just laughter and the biggest grin and squeals ever. We spent the first day and night at Hermosa Beach and the next at Santa Monica. The weather was perfect.
Thank goodness for ipods and dvd players :) don't know how we would have made it through without them.

Mother's Day
We went down to Santa Cruz for Mother's Day. It rained the whole way down and then was nice and sunny once we got there. We practically had the beach and the boardwalk to ourselves. Dominic loved playing in the sand and the waves. Brian loved having Dominic's huge 'truck' loaded with everything we might possible want or need, and I loved getting to spend the day with my family on the beach :)

We finished the day with all of the cousins and Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie Tracy's and then a very sandy bath.
