How has it been more than a month since my last post??? A broken computer will do that I guess. Finally back up and running, thank you Ryan! I''m putting these all in as seperate posts so that when I look back I'll be able to tell when everything happened in chronological order.
We went down to Southern Cal this last weekend for Jessica's graduation from Biola. It's amazing how someone else's milestone can make you feel so much older :) It was well worth the drive getting to be part of this big day of hers. We ended up staying through the weekend and got in some much needed beach time. Dominic loves the ocean. No fear at all whatsoever when it came to the waves, just laughter and the biggest grin and squeals ever. We spent the first day and night at Hermosa Beach and the next at Santa Monica. The weather was perfect.
Thank goodness for ipods and dvd players :) don't know how we would have made it through without them.

the little surfer boy

Eight teeth and counting....4 on top and 4 on bottom. Brushing them is still a novelty that I hope doesn't wear off for a good while.

We went down to Santa Cruz for Mother's Day. It rained the whole way down and then was nice and sunny once we got there. We practically had the beach and the boardwalk to ourselves. Dominic loved playing in the sand and the waves. Brian loved having Dominic's huge 'truck' loaded with everything we might possible want or need, and I loved getting to spend the day with my family on the beach :)

We got a play structure for the backyard. It's the perfect size for him. Gotta love craigslist :)

They had the coolest rocketship and astronaut outfits. The inside was all computer keyboards, phones, steering wheels, etc.... Dominic couldn't have been more intrigued. He could have stayed, hanging out in the rocketship the whole day and been in heaven.
The art room was probably my favorite to watch Dominic in. He painted so intently! I haven't really taken out the paints at home yet, didn't think he'd really be into yet. He was adorable in his little smock painting away.
They also had a little grocery store with fruit and vegetable stands, cash registers, carts, etc... Dominic unfortunately loved pushing the carts a little too wholeheartedly and kept plowing kids over. So, needless to say, we moved on.
They had the coolest little waterpark with water slides, water tables, bathtubs to wash baby dolls in, etc... This was the last exhibit we hit. Good thing, because Dominic was SOAKING wet afterwards.
